Strada Restaurants chose the sophisticated new development of Spinningfields Manchester, Europe's most exiting new development to launch their first restaurant in the North West.
The stylish restaurant is set on the banks of the River Irwell and situated in the new financial quarter just minutes from Deansgate and the City's main shopping area. Spinningfields has set a new world class standard for city centre regeneration, and boasts a diverse range of commercial, civic, residential, hotel, leisure and retail space.
Our client chose to break away from their standard design, allowing McGoff & Byrne to deliver a flag ship restaurant for the North West. Set over two floors, the restaurant has a contemporary feel with impressive floor to ceiling heights which create a volume that only adds to the sense of spaciousness. The rich oak flooring adds a luxurious touch.
Our construction team faced a major challenge with the projects bespoke joinery requirements. The solution was provided by our highly skilled in house joiners, who were able to provide pre-finshed joinery, which included a bespoke ceiling feature suspended 9 meter's from the double height lobby. The main feature is the magnificent pewter clad bar stretching the full length of one wall, flanked by high bar stools with a colour changing light-box feature to the back fitting, creating a dramatic focal point that gives the restaurant a truly contemporary mood.
The results were impressive with high client aspirations being surpassed on many levels. Chief Architect's Graham Tytrherleigh expressed his delight with the way the way the project was delivered to an "exceptional standard of quality and workmanship". The project was delivered on time and on budget and this hugely successful project has already resulted in a large amount of repeat business from the Tragus Group The success of this project resulted in McGoff and Byrne negotiating the new Strada restaurant in Wilmslow.
