The Living Room is renowned chain of stylish restaurants and piano bars throughout the UK. Its reputation for excellent service and chic surroundings makes The Living Room a popular choice for guests and diners.
The acquisition of the site in Milton Keynes was long awaited for the group and is the latest venue in its expanding chain to be unveiled. The venue itself forms part of the dynamic new development in the centre of Milton Keynes, which features offices, hotels, retail outlets, café's, bars, restaurants and apartments.
The restaurant itself features a ground floor restaurant and bar area, with comfortable spaces for dining and socialising, together with a more formal second floor mezzanine restaurant area. Outdoor heated terraces are situated to the front and rear of the premises overlooking the attractive central piazza.
McGoff & Byrne were asked to work with the client and architect in fitting out a developers shell to form a new restaurant in a quick turn around time of 10 weeks. Tactfully working on site, amongst other completed developments of occupied apartments, offices and retail units, work on this project was completed on time and within budget.
The building itself is situated on a corner and as such benefits from full width windows to either side which stretch the whole length of two storeys, incorporating a mezzanine level, giving the restaurant an abundant sense of space. Softly toned walnut flooring and cladding to the walls and ceiling offer this eatery a truly sumptuous feel. The composite bar, with its metal frame, walnut cladding and granite top creates a dramatic focal point. Circular crevices, carved out of the ceiling contain sculptured floral designs, from which elegant lighting is displayed.
