An existing surgery dating from 1902 needed complete re-modernisation to create a much needed healthcare resource for the local community. The existing building had undergone various extensions in previous years, but could not be increased in size any further or be made fully compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act.

The Sapphire premises solution was to appoint McGoff & Byrne Ltd to build a brand new medical practice, now fully compliant with current legislation, doubling the size of the premises and enabling the practice to increase its range of healthcare services offered to patients.

The new practice now offers, spacious GP consulting rooms, an "In House" Lloyds Pharmacy, car parking for around 40 vehicles, treatment rooms, multi purpose minor surgery rooms, counselling/small interview room and a private discussion room off the main reception area.

In addition there are large administration facilities, a training room, meeting room for up to 16 people, a new staff room with fully equipped kitchen. The building also benefits from a modern energy efficient heating system.
