McGoff & Byrne unveils new nursey at Cloverlea Primary School

McGoff & Byrne Ltd, the award-winning North West construction company, has completed work on an extension to the nursery at Cloverlea Primary School in Timperley, making it some of the best facilities in the area for children under four.
After completing other works at the school to an exceptional standard, McGoff & Byrne were invited back by the school's head teacher, Peter Linnett, to begin work on the enhanced Foundation Stage Unit for the reception and nursery classes.
Briefed by Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council to extend the existing nursery at Cloverlea Primary School, the McGoff & Byrne team worked closely with the school and Local Authority to meet the brief and provide an improved facility and teaching area.
Within the 17 week time-frame and budget of £183K, McGoff & Byrne transformed the nursery. The improvements include an extended teaching area with toilet facilities and additional storage.
A particular feature of the nursery is the two large windows and sliding door which connects the new building to the existing nursery, creating a versatile space which can be opened up or isolated as required.
The final part of the project was the play area outdoors which was re-turfed and extended, offering more recreational space for the children.
Cloverlea Primary School headteacher, Peter Linett says: "We are delighted by the extension to the nursery and the extra space it will offer to the children. The attention to detail, design and professionalism that has been applied by McGoff & Byrne has been excellent and all work was carried out with minimum disruption to the running of the school.
"I'm sure the nursery's teachers, children and parents will join me in saying that the expansion of the nursery will be a great asset to Cloverlea Primary School and will really enhance the learning experience for all of our pupils," added Peter.
