The living room sets up home in Milton Keynes

Renowned for its chain of stylish restaurants and piano bars throughout the UK, The Living Room has unveiled its latest venue in the heart of Milton Keynes, fitted out by award-winning North West construction company, McGoff & Byrne.
Part of the company’s expanding portfolio, the new venue boasts imaginative and creative design details to complement the eateries eclectic culinary influences.
Briefed by The Living Room to fit out a developer’s shell and create an inspired new restaurant in a rapid turnaround time of just 10 weeks, McGoff & Byrne completed the £900K project on time and within budget, contributing to a dynamic new development in the centre of Milton Keynes.
The impressive design of the restaurant features a relaxed ground floor restaurant and bar area, with comfortable spaces for dining and socialising, together with a more formal second floor mezzanine restaurant area. Outdoor heated terraces, which provide additional seating, are specifically situated to the front and rear of the premises overlooking an attractive central piazza.
The building is situated on a corner and benefits from full width windows to either side which stretch the whole length of the two storeys, enhancing the exterior of the building and giving the restaurant an abundant sense of space.
Softly toned walnut flooring and cladding to the walls and ceiling offer the eatery a truly sumptuous feel and a composite bar, with metal frame, walnut cladding and granite top provides an impressive and dramatic focal point. Circular crevices, carved out of the ceiling contain sculptured floral designs, from which elegant lighting is displayed.
